Who you are
There are certain times in life where you are not sure that you are who you thought you were. Your life has been spent getting an education, working on your career, and raising a family. These events and periods in your life have given you an identity. You had a purpose that you were trying to achieve. So what happens when all of those events have past and those periods of certainty in your life are realized? You may feel lost or unsure about where you are and even question all of the years that you were driven by the events in your life.
You are not alone. This happens to many people and is not uncommon. Zig Ziglar said, “What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.” What he saying is that all of the years that you have spent developing your career and raising your family is not spent in vain. It has developed your strength, knowledge and your character.
When you begin to question yourself and your purpose in life, you need to take a review of it and acknowledge the accomplishments that you have made. Perhaps your children are grown and living lives of their own. Now, you are not sure what to do with your time and feel as if you have no purpose. You could never be so wrong. Today is the day to make the biggest difference in your life and in the lives of others. Each of us was born with a purpose in this life. All of us have the same purpose and that is to help others to be, do or have more. Your experiences have given you a unique ability to give back to others and provide you with personal growth and unconditional love, the two basic human needs that will provide you with satisfaction and purpose.
You can realize this phase of your life with greater success than the later because of the past. It really does not matter who you are, where you have been or what you have been through. You can have everything that you want. Using your past as a tool to achieve your future is the force that will help you achieve your purpose.
The question is. “How do I use this past to achieve a great future and achieve my purpose?”
The answer is in these steps;
Identify your accomplishments and your failures
Accept them, both good and bad
Forgive yourself and others
Identify your dreams and passions
Qualify which ones you want to pursue to make sure they are good for everyone involved
Write down the things you will need to help you achieve your dream
Name the people you need to help you
Identify the obstacles that you will encounter and find the solutions before they happen
Write down the steps that you need to take to begin achieving your dreams
Do not allow fear to stop you. Fear is only false evidence appearing real. Take the first step and begin to achieve your dreams and reach your destiny.
