Life is full of distractions that keep us from living our true purpose. It all begins with one small thing that is compounded over time, creating a wall that blocks the view of our past. If you will, imagine a brick wall being built. This wall is constructed one brick at a time. Thus is the wall in our lives. This wall is created one brick at a time by events that happened in our childhood and young adulthood, marriage, children, work, and events outside our circle such as tragedy and war. As each event happens the brick is placed in the mortar, eventually building a wall that has blocked us from attaining our purpose.
We can destroy this wall and resume the path that leads to our destiny.
Step 1-Identify the limiting beliefs that have been placed on our lives from events in our past
Step 2-Understand that it is the past and accept that it happened.
Step 3-Release it from your life with the new understanding
Step 4-Begin to dream again
Step 5-Planning to achieve your dreams
Step 6-Taking the first steps
Step 7- Give back
Step 3 is the focus at this point. Before you move on, you need to know where you want to go. After spending so much time lost, confused and living a life that did not fulfill your personal needs, you must find the desires that you have within you.
What do you dream about? This can include daydreams. Who do you want to be, what do you want to do, where do you want to do it. It can be anything that you want it to be. Do not limit yourself. The most important part of this process is that you let your mind, body and should connect again. There has been a break down in the connection that must be repaired so that you are in alignment with yourself.
You may get discouraging feedback from your friends and family when you begin this process. If this happens, limit your conversations with them regarding this part of your life. It is important that you are focused on the process.
When I was living my life in turmoil and causing myself undue pain from the loss of the connection and time with my father, I also lost sight of who I was and what I wanted in my life. I turned my attention to the feelings that I wanted and felt that I was denied, instead of staying focused on my dreams. Due to this, I got lost and went down a very different path. Today, through the same process that I am explaining to you, I have been able to reconnect with myself and again focus on who I am, achieving my desires and living my true purpose in life.
Dream and write them all down on paper. This is important so that you can see what they are. It is very different than having them in your head. When you see them on paper you are going to have a different realization of what they mean to you.
You CAN be, do and have EVERYTHING that you want.
Zig Ziglar said, "What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving them."
